What We Do

Initiative for the Advancement of Improved Health and Development(I-AIHD) is dedicated to enhancing the sexual and reproductive health and rights of vulnerable people in Nigeria, through public education, advocacy, direct service delivery, and stakeholders engagement. I-AIHD advocates for a society where every individuals access quality and affordable healthcare, justice and support that they deserve.

Sexual and Reproductive Health

We provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services, including HIV and STI services, family planning, counseling, and community health outreaches to ensure everyone has access to quality care and support.

Sexual and Reproductive Rights

We provide a wide range of comprehensive sexual and reproductive rights services to enable everyone make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive choices, including the right to consent, the number, spacing, and timing of children, non-descrimination and protection from sexual violence, and the right to safe abortion

Capacity Building and Strenghtening

Through public health education, training, seminars, and workshops, we empower individuals and institutions to promote the healthcare and well-being, and protect the fundamental rights of vulnerable people in Nigeria.

Collaborations

We collaborate with individuals and institutions, including government agencies, private sectors and non-profits organizations to expand our impact and ensure that no one is left behind.

Psychosocial Support

We provide psychosocial support services, including mental health therapy, counselling, emergency shelter and support groups with the aim to address the emotional, mental, social and spiritual needs of vulnerable individuals and communities. Promoting overall well-being and resilience.

Legal Literacy & Access to Justice

Through our legal literacy and access to justice services, we provide human rights education, pro-bono legal aid and paralegal services to vulnerable individuals who are victims or survivors of human rights violations in Nigeria.
